3th October – 18th November 2012
Terms of participation
- Monochrome drawings of maximum dimension 100×70 cm – dimension of a paper.
- Number of works : maximum 5 works, created after 2007.
- Each drawing will be judged individually. Sets of drawings which, when put together, produce a size larger than 100×70 cm, will not be accepted.

The application form must be enclosed in the package with the drawings and sent to the address:

Payment
The application includes an irreversible entry fee of 50,- EUR for foreign artists to be paid into

The fee must be paid by means of OUR (all charges must be paid by the sender).
The drawings and the application form including the pay
receipt must be sent by 31 May, 2012 (date of postal stamp is relevant).
Works must be delivered free of all freight charges. A package burdened by any postal
charges will not be accepted. The works of authors who will not pay the required fee
of 50,- EUR in time will not be included in the competition.
Delivery of Works
Entirely at the author’s cost. If the foreign partner organizes shared handover of drawings,
it is possible to agree on individual terms of contract.
Works should be labelled in correspondence with the application form.
Works will be accepted non framed, without passe-partout, safely wrapped in a firm package
to ensure safe delivery and its return to artist.
Promotion of Exhibition and the Catalogue
- The application for the participation in the exhibition allows the organizer to use free
of charge the replicas of the works, slides or videotapes submitted by the participants
for the catalogue, for promotion of the exhibition or for educational activities.
- Authors of the awarded works agree in advance that their works may be included
in a collection which will be displayed in some European and other countries.
The works will be returned after these exhibitions.
- The organizer will publish a catalogue with replicas of the exhibited works. Each artist
whose works will be exhibited is entitled for inclusion in the catalogue with the reproduction
of one of his/her works and the basic personal data. (S)he will also receive one free issue
of the catalogue.
Return of Works
Works will be returned to the authors at the organizer’s own cost.
Selection of Exhibits
Works submitted by participants will be selected by an international jury with regard
to their artistic and spatial qualities and on the basis of meeting the terms of participation.
Prizes
Works exhibited at the VIII. International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2012 will be judged
by a qualified international jury. This jury will also award the Grand Prix.
There will be other prizes awarded:

- Prize of the Lord Mayor of the City of Pilsen
- Prize of The Intenational Association of Art – Europe
- Prize of the Union of Visual Arts of the Czech Republic
- Prize of BBK – Bundesverband
- Prize of The Hungarian Association of Graphic Artists
- Prize of The Slovak Union of Visual Arts
- Prize of the Students of the Institute of Art and Design of ZCU
The international jury has right to award a special prize and a short list
/certificate of the highest quality/.
Awards will be announced and handed over to the winners at the opening ceremony
of VIII. International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2012 held on October 3, 2012.
