Travelling exhibitions of the Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2007 - 2008
The Best Collection of the Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2006, Sala Mansú gallery, Bergamo, Italy
The travelling exhibition – the Best Collection of the Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2006 – was opened on 8 February 2008 in the Sala Mansú gallery in Bergamo, Italy, ending on 9 March 2008.
Due to the active participation of partner regions, the Pilsen Region and the Bergamo Province, a presentation was prepared of 38 artists and 63 drawings. The collection included the award-winning works of the 2006 event as well as drawings awarded the Certificate of the Highest Quality (short list) by the jury. The exhibition was opened by Tecla Rondi, Culture Councillor of the Bergamo Province.
The opening speech was pronounced by Gabriela Darebná, Managing Director of the Biennial, and the significance of drawing was addressed by Profesor Norris, Art Consultant for the Bergamo Province.
The aim of the exhibition is to acquaint visual artists with the unique project and invite those interested to Pilsen. The exhibition represents a good impulse for developing the mutual partnership in the areas of culture and travel.
