The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) proclaimed the year 2010 to be the Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures. Among the planned events are also ten projects from the Czech Republic. The 7th International Biennial of Drawing Pilsen 2010 represents one of the selected projects that fulfill the idea of the cultural rapprochement announced for this year.
